“This is a project that has evolved over time, the client was drawn to the property because of the garden and the style of the house but soon found the Swedish decor not to their taste, it was too cold for their daily living. We injected some colour and pattern into the rooms incorporating some of their furniture and paintings from a previous home. The kitchen was too small and so we carried out a reconfiguration of the back hall, kitchen and living space to make one large eat in kitchen with a corner seating arrangement. The house lacked in built in storage so we designed and worked closely with the joiner to put in filing drawers, shelving and cupboards to accommodate their needs. The house now feels far more welcoming and is much more suited to their tastes”.
