“My vision for this warehouse apartment was to celebrate its industrial heritage while creating a home that feels intimate, layered, and quietly luxurious. The brief was to reveal and enhance more of the architecture’s original steelwork and exposed brick, embracing the building’s raw character while balancing it with refined materials and tactile finishes. It was about finding harmony between strength and serenity.

The design journey began by opening up the living areas to uncover the original features, allowing the building’s history to take centre stage. Glazed doors were introduced to let natural light flood through the apartment, creating long views and a sense of openness while maintaining distinct zones for living and entertaining. From the bespoke marble bathrooms to the custom brass-and-oak shelving, every detail was crafted to bring warmth, coherence, and a touch of modern craftsmanship. Vintage-inspired lighting and textured wallpapers sit in contrast with contemporary furniture and graphic flooring, ensuring the space feels both timeless and personal.

This project was about crafting a calm urban retreat, one that reflects the spirit of Shad Thames while feeling distinctly individual. The result is a home that combines quiet sophistication with effortless comfort.”
